This guy was AWESOME at his first season of flag-football! A total stud. He got most of the points for his team and his coach put him as on of the running backs which he was thrilled about! Boastful at times. We'll work on humility later. They only won 2 games but it seemed like they were smaller and less experienced than most of the teams he played. The "Dragons" did great though and improved throughout the season. He got to play with his buddy, Jackson. Jackson was a good little quarterback and had some great blocks as well! I will miss watching him practice and play games. Can't believe the season is over already!

Brace Face
It's official. Stella has braces! She went in last Monday to get her spacers on and begin Phase 1. She has an appliance in the roof of her mouth which is making it hard for her to eat. In the next couple of weeks she'll have to also have orthodontic surgery to remove a few extra teeth. She has 2 EXTRA incisors that will have to be removed for her permanent teeth to come in. Hence, the big appliance in the top of her mouth. Poor thing! I feel really bad for her. She's got a long, painful road ahead of her. I just hope she can overcome the eating thing. That's my #1 concern right now. She has yet to have any solid foods since she got her braces on a week ago! Just when I feel like I take a huge leap forward by her having broccoli and loving it (the day before she got braces on) to 500 steps backwards by now being on a liquid diet. I honestly don't know what to do. I'm at a loss at this point. Food has been my #1 struggle 3 times a day for the past 8 years with this girl. Braces do not help the situation. I do feel for her though. She was so brave but was fighting back tears when she had to do the impression twice and was gagging. Then while getting her braces on and had so many things shoved in her mouth and was having a mini-panic attack, but trying so hard to just get through it. I'm really really proud of her. She was super excited the day she got them on. 5 days later she tells me she's going to pray that she'll do anything not to have braces on anymore. This is going to be a very long couple of years in regard to this I think!

This girl is rocking her braces! Looking all grown up. She's adorable no matter what!

Ok, make that Saturday. My stinking camera is broken. Luckily Tristan's is semi-working for now. Hopefully it will last until I can get mine fixed! So let's try this photo challenge thing again! Here is my October Photo:

COLOR
I was going to take a picture today of my maple tree in the back because the colors have turned and it's looking pretty dang colorful, but I got home from work too late today. It will be even prettier in a week or two I think. However, I did have the honor of teaching art in the kids classes this week. I forgot my camera when I went to Tristan's class tho :( Boo. Stella's class worked with watercolor's this month which is so fun, bright and incredibly messy. Stella's looked awesome! I can't wait to have it and possibly hang it up somewhere in my home! Tristan's class did the Mona Lisa which was hilarious. Most of them looked like the bride of Frankenstein! So cute. So here is my picture of the week!

Photo Challenge Anybody???
So earlier this year Peggy started a photo challenge. I have missed it! I like trying to find something specific to take a picture of and seeing other peoples point of view. I would like to start that again. Especially as we're heading into fall and the holidays! What better time right? Who's in?! So this week's subject: COLOR. Go crazy!
Football Fanatic
This fall Tristan started flag football. He has been waiting for this moment his whole life! Football is his passion! He's always loved almost all sports, but for whatever reason he loves loves LOVES football. He already wants to play hard-hit football. Luckily that's a few years away. It always makes me smile to hear him laughing as Bill gets closer to tackle him while they are practicing. There must be something seriously wrong with this boy! Gotta love him.
His team has lost all 4 games so far. However, he was the first person to get any points. He got the only points during the second and third games [no score for their team the first game :( ] plus the extra point by running it in during the 4th game. Pride is a good word to describe Bill and my feelings as we watch him. I know, I know. Pride is a sin. Oh well. There is nothing better in the world than watching your child do what they love the most. It's just yummy.
Here is a video of his 2nd touchdown. You may want to mute this as there is excessive yelling and cheering. Bill wanted me to post this on fb, but I find it way too annoying (thanks to me) so the 3 of you that actually read my blog can enjoy! Or skip it. Whatever.
