Spring T-Ball
Tristan loved playing t-ball last fall. He couldn't wait to play again so we signed him up for the spring. He has his last game this coming Thursday, but he got his trophy and pictures yesterday. I thought they were pretty cute! He had a lot of fun and I love his complete focus when he's in the outfield waiting to chase after the ball. That's his favorite part. He did a great job and we love watching him play sports!

Sunshine & Summertime
Ah, Disneyland. I love that place! We had so much fun last year when we went with my parents that when the Eichelberger's asked if we would like to join them we jumped at the chance. (Some jumped sooner than others)We kept it a secret from the kids until Easter. Let me just say that if you want a big reaction from kids - don't wait to tell them on a holiday no matter how fun you think it will be! I planned this whole Easter egg hunt that would lead them to a different clue and the final egg was a bucket filled with Disneyland stuff and an egg that had our vacation announcement. It was anti-climactic to say the least. Once the Easter stuff was found it started to sink in and the kids started to get really excited. They talked for 2 weeks about all the rides they couldn't wait to go on again and wondering what the hotel would be like. Plus we had more things planned than what we did last year.
We discovered the city pass and purchased that which included 3 days at Disneyland and California Adventures, Sea World, Universal Studios, the zoo, and a few other places. We didn't do the zoo, but did go to Sea World and Universal Studios. All of us loved everything! It was such an amazing trip! Stella decided that she DOES NOT like the Tower of Terror, which she loved last year. Tristan & Stella both loved Big Thunder Mountain. Tristan dared to go on Space Mountain. That was one of his favorites! This year both the kids actually liked Pirates of the Caribbean. Tristan was big enough to go on Soarin' over California and that is one of all of our favorite rides.
We met lots of characters - not to mention some princesses we didn't get to meet last year. This year we met Cinderella (Stella's favorite princess) and Snow White, who also loves red - just like Stella! Go figure. Tristan loved the characters this year and last year they freaked him out. It was fun to see him so excited.
Sea World was one of our lazy days. We saw almost all of the shows. It's pretty amazing to see all of those animals trained so well! The seals cracked us up more than anything. They have a lot of personality! Very spoiled there in Sea World.
Universal Studios was pretty cool too! It would have been fun to do some of the rides, but I don't want my children to be traumatized by sharks or dinosaurs. Not worth the risk! We did see the Waterworld show they put on and that was fun to see. Not to mention Shrek in 4D.
We went to the beach twice. Both times the weather was not great. Windy & cloudy. Still the kids (and by kids Bill is totally included in this!) loved it! They love to play in the sand, chase the waves, and look for shells - which were non-existent this year for some reason! Bill got to use his new body board he got for his birthday, but the water was pretty cold so that didn't last for too long.
All in all, it was an amazing time! I can't wait to go back!!!
7th Heaven
Our beautiful little girl turned 7! I still can't believe it! She is such a joy. Since she had school I wanted to do something special to make it feel more like her day. I surprised her at school with a mini cake decorated like Belle. She was so excited! Her friends crying because they didn't have a little cake too was a tad dramatic and put a bit of a damper on the moment. However, I tried to serve as many people on the table as I could.

After dance I picked Stella up and we were going meet Bill, Ron & Becky at the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner to celebrate. As she got in the car she looked at her presents on the front seat and asked "Mom, is that all my presents?" "Yes," I said. "Oh. I just thought there were going to be more." Seriously! 7 going on 17. There were quite a few things packed into those packages thank you very much!

Stella got so spoiled. So many cute pink clothes and fun art stuff. She must be use to getting her picture taken so much because after each gift was opened she knew to wait and pose with it for me! Happy Birthday baby girl! You'll always be my little princess and I am so blessed to be your mom. Love you!

Day 14
A T.V. show I'm addicted to:
My all time favorite shows would include Friends, Frasier and the Golden Girls. However, I rarely watch those and have little time to watch t.v. these days anyways. Here are the following shows I am addicted these days.

I love The Biggest Loser! I love transformation and people trying to live the best life they can.

The Office is hilarious! I will miss Michael Scott though.

This show cracks me up. Their accents remind me of all the annoying people that call me for medical records. I knew this show would be funny ever since I saw the commercials.

I like Tori and Dean and have watched their shows for the past few years. Right now they are helping plan peoples weddings: Storibook Weddings I think they are funny, and so creative.

Day 13
My favorite musician & why:
I have 2 loves. I love them both the same for similar and different reasons.
U2. I have loved them for as long as I can remember. I grew up listening to them because my brother is one of their biggest fans ever since they were discovered. I love their music. They are always evolving, but so many of their songs are about Christ and making the world a better place. Bono is famous for his humanitarian work. I love that about him. I think they are a great band & I LOVE Bono.

My other love is Coldplay. I could listen to their music all the time! They are incredibly talented. Chris Martin has a great falsetto and a very sexy deep voice. I love that he seems to be a regular guy, a family man, and loves what he does. When they came in concert a few years ago I was the closest to the stage I've ever been and it was probably the best concert I've ever been to. I can't wait to see them again. It was so much fun!
