Big "T" turns 3!

Today my baby Tristan turns 3 years old! It's hard to believe it's already been 3 years since we were in the hospital welcoming him into this crazy world. Tristan is such a joy to have in our family. I can't remember what we ever did without him! The past few months his personality has really blossomed and he loves to entertain us and try to make us laugh. He is sweet, smart, energetic, feisty, thoughtful, passionate, and so many other wonderful traits
.

We waited a year to find out we'd be getting another baby and it was well worth the waiting, worrying, praying and hoping. From day one he has filled our home with so much personality and joy. We are forever thankful to his wonderful brithmom for allowing us to care for such a precious boy!

To celebrate Tristan's birthday we had a party last Tuesday for Tristan and his cousin Calder. Then another with my family today. He was certainly spoiled by everyone and loved the fun, thoughtful gifts, not to mention the attention! Happy Birthday T-Boy! We love you more than words could ever express!!!

Boys Night Out ~ Girls Night In

Yesterday Bill and Tristan were lucky enough to go to the Harlem Globetrotters. I wasn't feeling too great so Stella and I decided to stay home and have a girls night in and let the boys be boys for the night. Tristan already enjoys watching sports with Bill so we knew this would be right up his ally! Bill said he had a good time, managed to stay interested the whole time, and asked a lot of questions. He didn't like the globe mascot, but still wanted to keep an eye on him the whole time. That little boy was one happy, wired kid when he got home from their boys night out.

Meanwhile... Stella and I had some girl bonding time. We did what girls do best! Watched a movie, ate donuts and painted our nails. I gave Stella a little manicure and pedicure. Poor Stella was exhausted by 8:00 that she was in bed by 8:30. Our girls night didn't last quite as long as the boys, but we had fun just hanging out together. This coming weekend we are all going to see the Monster Truck Show, so I will make sure to post on that later this week.

Making Memories of Us

So this is my latest obsession. Everyday I take a picture of something and put the date on it. It goes in a binder so that by the end of the year (or January 7th for me since I started a few days late) I will have photographed our lives every day. I think it will be so much fun to look at and something the kids will love to look at when their older. I'm not a scrapbooker so this is a great project for me. Melissa's sister did it last year and it turned out really cute! We both decided to take on this project for 2010. I lay awake thinking of what fun picture I can take tomorrow. It's ridiculous. But I already love it and even though Bill complains that I'm "worse than my mom", he loves the pictures too. I almost have one month down! Only 11 more to go! Is my life interesting enough to get that many different pictures? I sure hope so!
