Holiday Season 2013

Can you believe the holidays are over already? Crazy right?! I just did a big ol' post that got deleted and I don't feel like writing everything down again so here is our holidays in pictures! Maybe a few captions here and there :)

Our Christmas Angel. Isn't she pretty!

The girls

Stella was part of the school's Melody Choir this season and worked for months for their Christmas performance. She was so excited and did a wonderful job!

Decorating the tree at Grandma Duffin's. I have a feeling the
tree looked very different the next day.
I know mine did after my kids decorated my tree!

This year Tristan asked Santa for a Wii. Lucky for him he got it!
He almost didn't make it onto the "Nice List". Good thing he behaved!
Stella wouldn't go anywhere near Santa. She made it onto the "Nice List" anyways.

Bill and I at his work party at The Hilton downtown. This was just before I felt very sick from the questionable food that was sitting out for probably way too long! Ick.

Our annual Christmas Duffin Girls Night Out. This is a fun night because Stella and Gracie come with us. We have a nice dinner and do something festive. This year we went to Tepanyaki and Desert Star Playhouse.

We went to Thanksgiving Point one night and drove through the lights and saw the reindeer. The kids were mad they had to walk around in their PJ's but I wasn't planning on walking around! I just wanted to drink hot chocolate, listen to Christmas music and enjoy the lights!

Tristan's 1st grade performance. Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks! I do! He actually sang all the words and did all the actions to the songs. I thought for sure he'd act too cool for this kind of thing but he wasn't and did an awesome job!

Stella's class party with her gingerbread house. She got to be a lunch worker and
was so excited to keep her hat! So stinking cute! Who's that hot guy in the back of the class??

Last Sunday Bill and Stella had a whole dance routine going on. I remember dancing with my dad when I was little and I'm so glad Bill is the kind of dad that creates these memories with our little girl too. She will always treasure them and so will I! Nothing sweeter than seeing your wonderful husband dance with your daughter and hearing her laugh with complete delight. Makes my heart overflow.

Part of our Christmas Eve tradition is to go sing carols and Liam's grave. This year Suzanne bought some Chinese floating lanterns. We had 2 successful ones and it. was. awesome. Such a cool idea! Where they landed...nobody know except for maybe the fire dept. My dad was very nervous about the fire hazard. Gen sang a beautiful song she had written for Liam and we all headed back to my parents for some delish dinner.

Our Angel and Little Buddy. One of my all time favorite Christmas Eve's was with this little guy.
 Love and miss him dearly

What a mess! Christmas morning after the presents were opened. Stella got her tablet and Tristan got his Wii. And Bill got his ice fishing tent so it was a total success! 2 months of planning and preparation done in 20 minutes. Sigh.

Panoramic view of The Duffin's. Just before all the presents and madness. (I love Bill's head in this picture)

Can you tell they're related?!

A couple of dorks doing some hand games. We were just excited we actually remembered how to do them! Now who has a Chinese jump rope?

Stella's new karaoke machine was a hit at our mock New Year's Eve party!

The men played a little pool and avoided the noise (er, I mean music) in the other room.

This needs to be cropped to see how attractive we really are by doing our fish faces. Yeah, we like to take a lot of pictures of ourselves posing when we're together. We're that family.
